Is your PTW system causing you problems?
Multiple spreadsheets, Too much paper, Mishandled Isolations, Managing contractors, Delays in issuing and handing back permits, Poor visibility of permits, Incomplete risk assessments, Poorly managed SIMOPS Etc.
Pisys PTW functions as a complete Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW), combining Permit to Work, Risk management, Isolations and contractor management within an integrated package.
GIVING YOU FULL CONTROL
Modular Design – Accessible Interface
Permit Module
Our permit module lets you create, issue and manage permits for all types of hazardous work – including working at height, confined space entry, hotwork, and excavations. It also allows you to add and manage worksites and contractor companies, confirm that a site visit has taken place, double check that you have all relevant documentation in place and approve permits – ensuring that nothing ever slips through the cracks.
Best of all though, it has a virtual permit board that mimics the permit boards found in most site offices – allowing you to view all current permits in one place, irrespective of where you are.

Isolations Module
Our isolations module allows you to view and manage planned or real isolations across all of your work sites. Rendering isolations on plot plans ensures that you always have a true visualisation of all relevant environments and hazards.
An innovative lock-out/tag out system for hardware, full integrations with all relevant permits and customisable workflows all help you manage complex or long-term isolations. Our isolations screen is simple to use; ensuring that you always have access to all relevant information in an easily-digestible format.

"Better, safer and much easier to manage."
Nick Pellington - Advanced Proteins
Contractor Management Module
Managing multiple contractors doesn’t need to be challenging. Our PTW software allows you to record critical information about a given contractor’s competencies, certifications and issued permits. It also flags up important expiry/renewal dates and allows you to drill down and view relevant documentation on a per-person or organisational level, so that you always know exactly who is authorised to work on a specific project.
The framework itself is fully customisable too – allowing you to create specific requirements or certification rules and rely on the system to prompt you for these documents whenever you add a new contractor.

Task Risk Management Module
Task Risk Management is a useful way to integrate the principles of task analysis into a wider risk management process. Our task risk management module focuses on accessibility and ease of use.
At the top level we define an activity and the job steps associated with the task including hazards associated with the job step. We also define the severity and likelihood associated with the risk pre-mitigation and apply controls to help mitigate the risk. Finally we set the post-mitigation likelihood and severity. This provides an accessible Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) that can be used within the Permit to Work system.

A Safer Way To Work
Fully Compliant With All Relevant Standards
Pisys Permit to work system is fully customisable and supports compliance with HSE/ISO/OHSAS Standards. It can be adapted to support your existing Control of Work or HSE Management System and is compatible with HSE Guidance on Electronic Permit to Work Systems, as per HSG250 and because existing control of work systems can be transferred onto PTW, set-up & training times are kept to a minimum. Our Permit to Work system integrates with the Action Tracker and Task Risk Manager modules of the Pisys 360 Suite.

What Our Customers Say
Quick To Implement
We selected the Pisys system because it was extremely quick to implement, it matched our requirements very well, and was very easy to configure. Pisys staff helped us at every stage and provided on-site training to our team. We were delighted with their commitment, and they have continued to be a great partner for us as we extend our use of the system.
Better Service to Clients
This was a really great strategic move for us. We're now able to work more efficiently and plan tasks more effectively, which in turn means our clients get a quicker response.
Extremely Simple And Effective System
Having adopted the Pisys Permit to work system we now have great visibility on all engineering activities, and we have an extremely simple and effective system to issue and manage permits. Pisys were easy to work with, they understood the issues we faced and were extremely responsive to our questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Data is encrypted and securely stored on the cloud in our Amazon datacentres. Pisys are accredited to ISO27001:2022 which means that we maintain an exceptionally high level of security governance. You can set permissions for all users to control how much of the system they can access.
Because you don't need any local hardware there's no local setup. We quickly create digital permit forms based on your existing permits and you can be using the system within days.
Our Mobile app allows permits to be completed and handed back without an internet connection. When internet is available the system automatically updates the central database.
We understand that change can be hard, no matter how many issues your existing system may have. To help the process we offer a free trial with your permits so that you can introduce your team to the benefits of a digital permit system. We also provide free support to all our users
Yes, you can have as many permit types as you need, and you can cover multiple activities on the same form, so for example a single permit could cover isolations, hot work, confined space etc.
Staff and contractors can use any browser to access the system (subject to appropriate permissions being granted by you)
Risk assessments (RA's) can either be attached to the permit or you can use our built-in Task Risk manager
The main benefit is Safety - the system will help to ensure that staff are qualified and competent to do the task, that risk assessments have been performed, appropriate equipment is being used and that isolations etc have been properly managed. It will also help to underpin compliance since work can be more tightly controlled. You can also expect increased efficiency due to the centralised view of all tasks which should result in faster processing of permits and easier reporting
Control of work is defined as Digital workflows and content which enable operations and safety managers to apply an approval process to minimize the amount of unsafe activities in work environments and to reduce risk. Our PTW system includes a rigorous approval workflow combined with comprehensive risk management. Alongside our contractor management, Isolations management and reporting functionality we believe that it is a core element of any Control of Work (COW) system
Paper based permits can introduce errors due to lack of automatic validation. They can also introduce time delays as paper has to be physically moved around a site for processing. Data can be lost if permits are mislaid or damaged. Finally it is extremely difficult to control access to paper permits - which introduces the risk of sensitive information being mistakenly shared
Perhaps the biggest issue you will face is the size of the change involved. A good way to approach this is to introduce the system gradually, potentially focussing on a specific team or business function, working with staff who can turn into advocates or champions for the system in the wider business - once staff get comfortable and can see the benefits of the digital system you can introduce the system to a wider community
Cyber Essentials Certified
Cyber Essentials helps us guard our organisation against cyber attacks. This is important because vulnerability to basic attacks can mark us out as a target for more in-depth unwanted attention from cyber criminals and others. Certification gives us and our customers peace of mind that our defences will protect against the vast majority of common cyber attacks simply because these attacks are exploiting targets which do not have the Cyber Essentials technical controls in place. Cyber Essentials is part our ISO27001 certification which is the global standard for Information Security Management Systems.
ISO 27001 Certified
We strive to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of all systems and data used by Pisys in their delivery of hosted applications to their worldwide client base, protecting these systems and data from all threats, internal and external, deliberate and accidental. To do this, we have deployed an information security management system (‘ISMS’) compliant with the ISO/IEC 27001 information security standard to meet our information security policy. The ISMS will allow compliance with customer contracts, and relevant laws of the UK and any company within which Pisys Ltd operates.
