About Pisys
Pisys is a Scottish software company founded in Aberdeen in 1988. We develop HSE software and operations training simulators for organisations working in safety-critical and operational environments worldwide.
Our products include Permit to Work, Action Tracking and specialist simulation systems, developed by an experienced in-house team of software developers and engineers.
Our history
Pisys emerged from the offshore survey industry in the 1980s, when our founders were developing and commissioning mission-critical systems for the upstream energy sector. That experience shaped our focus on practical, reliable software for managing safety, operational risk and training.

Ashleigh
Developer
Ashleigh joined in 2020. She earned a BA in Textile Design before doing a Masters in Software Development. Current projects include the Permit to work mobile app plus the Audits system. She enjoys spin classes and walking her dog Jackson when she's not working.
Brian
Developer
Brian joined in 2000, he holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Computing Science and works across the Pisys 360 range of products
Craig
Developer
Craig is our longest serving developer having Joined in 1992 with a B.sc (Hons) in Computer Science. He is the go-to guy for anything simulator or device related. He likes tracing his family tree and following Aberdeen Football Club in his spare time
Peter
Founder/Director
Pete started his career working as a programmer on survey ships in the early 80's before founding Pisys in 1988. He holds a B.Sc in Pure Science, an MBA and an M.Sc in Marketing. He misses floppy discs, DOS and 8-bit music. Pete drives the sales and marketing of our HSE product range.
Ray
Founder/Director
Ray joined Pisys in 1989 after an extensive period of hydrographic surveying and offshore engineering. He holds a HTD and MRGC in Marine Electronics and Radar and has been the driving force for the simulator product since the early 2000's.
Fiona
Contracts Manager
Fiona joined us in 2009 from a background in Banking, admin roles and running her own Plant Hire business. Responsible for onboarding of clients and suppliers, procurement, management of customer contracts, account management, issue of quotes and ensuring projects are delivered within budgeted hours. And not forgetting organising social events !
Garry
Developer
Garry joined in 2007 after completing a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in IT
He's our senior Permit to work system developer and when he's not working he plays guitar in a rock band. He and his wife disagree on how many guitars is too many.
Jim
Developer
Joined Pisys in 1996 after previous lives rust-proofing motor vehicles, sailing two of the worlds oceans and numerous seas while serving in the Navy as a communications operator.
Kiki
Product Manager
Kiki Joined in 2018 and holds BA Honours Economics, Marketing & Management, M.Sc Field & Well Management and HND Petroleum Geology. She works across the whole product range with particular focus on Permit to work, Action Tracking, Task Risk Management ESG and Audit ready
When she's not troubleshooting tricky tech Kiki loves to explore new galaxies from her backyard observatory.

Finance Manager
Lynda deals with everything finance-related and keeps the wheels turning in great style.
Akmal
Developer
As well as being core to our dev team Akmal also helps with our AWS architecture and ISO27001 accreditation. Outside of work his family keep him busy.
Nick
Support
Nick manages onboarding, support and training across our product range.
Rowland
Developer
Rowland joined Pisys (the first time) in the 90's, left to go round the world then came back in 2012. When he's not working he's usually dooking, stravaiging or just camping.
