When we built our configurable Incident Management training simulator we didn’t foresee it being used to train responders to deal with an occupation of one of their turbines by environmental protestors – but that’s why we made it configurable !
We were able to quickly create a real time status screen showing an unknown vessel heading for the wind farm, alongside a simulated news ticker, live telephone and radio comms, POB on all involved vessels and simulated weather conditions – meaning Incident Response teams were able to experience the pressure of an incident within a controlled environment. What’s more, because the system runs on the cloud, they didn’t all need to be in the same place – our unique collaborative training platform allows virtual incident rooms to be set up and managed by instructors who can both monitor and create scenarios according to training requirements.
