Aberdeen. Santa Claus has visited the Pisys Techhub for a catch-up with his favourite techies, and to get his iPad ready for another busy Christmas Eve.
He tells us: “With a short delivery window and demanding customers, I really need to be sure my HSE planning is up to scratch:
- Working at Height (Chimneys)
- Confined Space Entry (Chimneys again!)
- Hot Work (you guessed it)
- Isolations (burglar alarms, excessive Xmas decorations)
Says Santa: “A few years ago, I decided to go electronic, because I’d had enough of paper permits getting blown off the sledge. Now I can see all permits from Google maps. They are stored in the Cloud, accessible from anywhere: on tablets, mobile phones and laptops – so I can sign them off when the job is done.
And Mrs Claus can view the progress on all jobs from our Lapland Logstics Centre using the Permit Board and POB feature.
Not only that, but the new offline feature means I can work even when I am out of mobile range, and next year we’ll buy the Contractor Management Module, which will be great for managing the annual influx of elves.
Santa HQ are also thinking of adopting the Pisys Action Tracker for smoother collaboration within project teams.
